grass

This time of year is not my favourite as far as photography is concerned. Often we face day after day of flat lighting contitions, the cold sometimes makes it harder to work, if it's not the equipment balking at the temps. it might be my shutter finger siezing up. Undauted, you continue to search for something to snap. In this case a tuft of grass peaking through the snow. This was taken at the lakeshore, and, of course, I knelt down for the angle and my knees broke through the wee bit of ice that is forming on the lake. Instant cold! Brrr!!!!

As always folks, critiques are welcomed.

Comment I really like this photo. You can feel the cold in the background colours. (Yes I am Canadian too). I think it may have been improved if you had aimed just a little higher and included the whole of the tallest blade. Just my opinion anyway. Hope your knees have thawed out.
